Techlancer (“we,” “us”) operates techlancer.com. This policy describes what information we collect on this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We’ve written it to be read, not skimmed past.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you use the contact form or request a free marketing audit, we receive whatever you choose to send: typically your name, phone number, email address, business name and website, and your message. If you email or call us directly, we receive what you share there.
Text message consent. The contact form asks separately whether you’d like non-marketing messages (service updates and project communication) and whether you’d like promotional messages. Both boxes start unticked, neither is required, and you can submit the form without either. When you do tick one, we record which consent you gave, the date and time, and the version of the wording shown to you — so that what we send you is only ever what you actually agreed to.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we use analytics to understand how the site is used — pages visited, approximate location (city level), device and browser type, and how you arrived here. Analytics data is aggregated; we don’t use it to identify you personally. Our web host also keeps standard server logs (IP address, requested page, timestamp) for security and troubleshooting.
Cookies. We use only the cookies our analytics requires. We don’t run advertising trackers or sell ad space on this site.
How we use it
- To respond to your inquiry — that’s the only thing your contact-form details are used for. We won’t add you to a mailing list you didn’t ask for, and we will never sell or rent your contact information. Ever.
- To send you text messages, but only of the kind you ticked the box for. Consenting to service updates does not sign you up for promotional messages, and consenting to neither means we won’t text you at all — we’ll email or call instead. Consent to marketing texts is never a condition of buying anything from us.
- To understand what content is useful, so we can improve the site.
- To keep the site secure and functioning.
Who else sees it
We share information only with the service providers needed to run this website — hosting, form processing, our customer-relationship and messaging platform, and analytics — each bound by their own privacy commitments. We don’t sell personal information, and we don’t share it with third parties for their marketing. We would disclose information if legally required to.
Your mobile number and text-message consent are treated separately, and more strictly. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Your phone number reaches only the messaging platform that delivers our texts, and only so that they can be delivered.
How long we keep it
Contact inquiries are kept as long as needed to handle the conversation and any business relationship that follows. Analytics data is retained per our analytics provider’s standard retention window. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your choices
- Text messages: reply STOP to any message from us to stop them immediately — no reason needed, and it costs you nothing. Reply HELP for help, or call us on (657) 288-2888. Message frequency varies, up to 4 messages per month; message and data rates may apply. Stopping texts does not affect anything else we’re doing for you.
- Access or deletion: email consult@techlancer.com and we’ll tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it.
- Cookies: your browser can block or clear cookies; the site works fine without them.
- Do Not Track / opt-out: if your browser sends a global privacy signal, our analytics configuration honors the applicable requirements of your jurisdiction.
Children
This site is for businesses and is not directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update this page and the effective date above. Material changes will be noted plainly rather than buried.
